Jamil "Boogie" Alexander

We had to trek through a massive heap of mephitic trash and clumps of feces bags from other homeless in the area to get to Jamil. Despite his conditions and what seemed to be a gum diesease that was eating at his teeth and causing major loss and fall out, "Boogie" was still able to smile and wave at us. He is a former student from Florida State University, but after affiliating himself with a crowd that was surrounded by drugs and violence he found himself spiralling down apath of destruction. His so called "friends" drugged him and robbed him and eventually Jamil lost everything, acquired a drug addiction, and began stealing from his own family. Ironically, he seemed like he had found a sense of peace and was only looking for help now. He was jovial about the money we handed to him and even introduced us to his friend he wanted to help out as well; "Ponce de León".
